Accessibility assessments (audits)

We offer accessibility assessment and consultation services, which offer simple and straightforward feedback on your building’s accessibility.

This option is great for business clients and those unfamiliar with accessibility – a friendly and gentle starting point.

What’s included

  • Accessibility Report:

    • Includes an overview of your successes and areas of improvement, both for now and the future.

    • For site visits, we can include photo-realistic “before and after” renderings of our recommendations.

    • Beautifully graphic-designed and colour-coded for readability and clarity, as a PDF file or bounded hard copy.

  • Accessibility Tips package

    • A collection of accessibility innovations and solutions that we have seen in the real world.

    • Covers the areas of accessibility that have historically been the most challenging.

  • 1 year of follow-up

    • Includes advising on future accessibility improvements and inquiries related to our original report.

Accessibility certification (RHFAC ™)

We are proud to offer ratings for the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification ™ (RHFAC) program.

RHFAC is an industry-level certification program (similar to LEED) that certifies the level of accessibility of your building, using best practices in universal design.

With RHFAC, you can discover the level of accessibility for your business or building – and receive input on how to improve.

This option is ideal for construction companies, building maintenance and management professionals, and large complexes.

What’s included

  • RHFAC score and Key Areas report:

    • Includes a numerical score from RHFAC, which is further broken down into each specific part of your building.

    • Allows you to see where your building’s strong points and weaknesses are.

    • Key Areas report outline what you can improve on, in order to further your score.

    • Can apply for existing buildings and projects in pre-construction phases.

  • Accessibility Report:

    • Includes an overview of your successes and areas of improvement, both for now and the future.

Accessibility training

It’s easy to build ramps. It’s harder to build a culture of understanding. In addition to our building-related services, we also offer accessibility training to help you prepare and maintain your accessibility!
